Lucy Allman is a ceramic artist creating everyday objects that are beautiful to touch, hold and use. After starting her ceramics journey in Sydney, Lucy followed her love of the outdoors and hunger for creative inspiration to the mountains of Bright in Victoria, where her studio is now based.
Lucy Jane Ceramics explores texture, form, line and colour to create functional objects that celebrate the small details in nature. For Lucy, the process is everything. In every object, she tries to leave subtle traces – a fingerprint or mark – that celebrate the slow and intricate process of handmade.
