Folklove produces garments and capsule ranges here available for purchase and also Made To Order, enjoyably so, that we take the time to make up the pieces that you will enjoy wearing, so don't expect instant delivery when ordering as all good things take time.

We only use naturally grown fibres like Hemp, Wool, Silk and Linen, those that are sourced for their environmental rating, worker's fair pay and support as well as sustainability with transparency.

You won't ever find synthetic fabrics in our capsule ranges as we believe that they are not beneficial to human wearer, worker, environment and planet.

In other words they may be cheap to buy but are forever nasty, wasted fast fashion ending up in charity shops, billions of washed microfibres ending up in the oceans and sealife and criminally filling precious land space in countries all over the world.

The 1900's desire to wear long term vibrantly coloured clothing and prints came of out two laboratories - British and American -chemically synthesised synthetic fibres of Polyester, Rayon, Nylon, Viscose all synthetically created from petrochemicals.

Bamboo is also being offered as a natural fibre but unfortunately, due to the process of making it into a wearable fibre it is no longer natural when it is spun with synthetic fibres to make yarn.

We believe that wearing synthetics close to the skin's dermal layer long term can interrupt the body's natural thermoregulation process ( cooling down by perspiring or warming up by shivering) that is induced by our body's need to maintain homeostasis (bodily regulation loop of balance) this can be especially uncomfortably in increased heat generation for menopausal women trying to control hot flushes.

Synthetic fibres hold excreted hormones and toxins in moisture close to epithelial layer of the skin when the purpose of the body is to remove this from the body and unfortunately nowadays synthetics are used in sports wear, school and trade uniforms as well as active wear.

We need to read the Labels on everything nowadays, if we cannot ingest it why put it on your skin or your body, information is everything.

By Mindfully and Intentionally choosing to wear natural fibres, we naturally feel more comfortable, natural fibres allow body temperature fluctuations to naturally flow, for extra warmth or cooling down when needed and we can trace the ethical transparency in supply chain from grower to customer, making a difference at each and every step.

A tremendous amount of thought and detail has been put into each design to ensure that it is comfortable yet stylish, hard wearing yet recyclable and simplistically designed to outlive the fads of fashion, whilst still offering subtle tailoring that drapes the body, remaining shapely over time into a softer version of its original shape whilst mimicking your body shape, whilst offering you an investment in natural fibres.

Linen and Hemp will soften with use as neither requires washing after every wear, just airing then wash after sixth use and can take at least five to ten years to truly soften up. All pieces are simplistic in their classic designs, to complement your curves, allowing you to shine your uniqueness whilst flaunting your style.

Our philosophy at Folklove is to create a relationship with our customers by offering repairs and also an End of Garment service for repurposing your garment into another version of itself when it becomes irrepairable.

The inspired design behind Folklove merges the love of couture tailoring of the 1940's through to the empowered 1970's Hippy's and the amazing embroidered traditional Folk Costumes of the world.

Folklove designs are trans-seasonal, being worn throughout the seasons and are perfect pieces as a capsule wardrobe investment pieces that offer waist-less comfort to waste-less conscious women of the world.

We are ethically Sourced from transparent and Sustainable Farms and ensure that transparency is evident from beginning to end of garment life.
