Winter Warmers

With minus temperatures overnight, the Winter season has hit Canberra. While the days are filled with blue skies, when the sun goes down, the chill arrives and encourages us to hibernate inside and cosy up. Handmade’s designers and producers can accommodate your Winter requirements with plenty of warming food, drink, fashion, homewares and accessories to help you through these cold months. Here is a selection to inspire you from stallholders preparing for the July Market on 28 & 29 July.

Who doesn’t love a Winter pie? Black Rock Beef Co. are sixth generation cattle graziers from North West Queensland. Committed to ethically producing 100% grass fed and hormone free quality beef, they have created a number of take home options. This means you eat beautiful home cooked beef, without the preparation!

Let’s get really snuggly now, with 100% merino wool blankets and beanies for your little ones. Leroy Mac breeds merino sheep in country Victoria, and uses the wool to create beautiful, bacteria and flame resistant blankets and accessories that are local, sustainable and very, very cosy.

Light candles on cold evenings to create a warm ambience in your home. Light & Glo. is an award-winning Melbourne based fragrance house creating boutique style candles. Beautifully packaged and aromatic, these candles are new to Handmade.

Winter knits will ward off the chill. Find a beautiful selection at Marikit By Kitty Choy, a handknit label specialising in women’s knits and homewares – the “hand knitted good stuff.”

For Winter fashion, we’re excited to welcome Chalk n Cheese Clothing to the Market for the first time. Operating from Melbourne since 2004, they pride themselves on producing original clothing for both women and children. “Women feel comfortable and confident in our dresses and girls feel on top of the world.”
