Handmade is not just a design market. It is also the largest indoor food market in the region, focusing on Australian grown and made produce. Our producers grow, invent, create and concoct to bring you the best in sauces, jams, chutneys, vinegars, oil, spices, fresh produce and baked goods. Packaged in stunning jars, bottles and boxes, these products will be ready for you to taste, buy and take away from the market this weekend, 20 & 21 October, 10am – 4pm.

It’s Handmade’s tenth birthday. Come and celebrate with us in our dedicated drinks area, where you can sample spirits or indulge in cocktails from local up and coming distilleries. You can taste a number of cool climate wines and chat to the winemakers themselves. And you can sample local artisan beers and cider, making sure of course that you take some home with you to enjoy later.

Your coffee fix will be available from the baristas of The Fix and Nellie’s Cafe in both the Coorong and Budawang Buildings and there are several tea options, ginger beer and cold fresh juices to keep your thirst quenched if you prefer something cooler.

If you have a sweet tooth, The Handmade Groumet Food Hall is a paradise. Doughnuts, macarons, biscuits, cakes, cannoli, nougat, marshmallows and chocolate, all handmade and all delicious, will be on offer to snack on or take away as a sweet gift.

Canberra’s biggest indoor street food selection will also be on offer, so you can enjoy even more time at Handmade, knowing that you won’t be hungry. With food inspired by the cuisines of many countries, there are flavours to suit all tastes, including vegetarian and vegan options, for breakfast, lunch and snacks. So, see you at Handmade this weekend, 10am until 4pm Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st August, Exhibition Park. Parking and entry are free.
