Our new charity partner

Our new charity partner

This year, we’re proud to announce we’re partnering with GIVIT for each of our markets.  As our charity partner, GIVIT will be collecting donations at the entry points to the market.  They then team up with other charities, communities, and individuals to make sure the money goes to those who need it most.

At the March 21 & 22 market, GIVIT will be collecting donations to raise funds so they can support charities working across bushfire affected communities in the Capital Region.  They are supported by the NSW Government to manage all offers of assistance to bushfire affected communities.  Their focus is buying local for a community led recovery.

GIVIT is the smart way to give to communities in the Capital Region impacted by the recent bushfires.  From Batemans Bay, Bega, Bombala to Braidwood, GIVIT supports over 330 charities and community organisations who are working on the ground across affected areas.

They match generosity with genuine need via their website givit.org.au.  They ensure people get what they need when they need it most as they rebuild their lives.

Donations made via GIVIT provide critical and immediate support following disasters.  They also provide longer recovery support to re-establish homes and help communities recover.

So please join us in welcoming GIVT in 2020.  And please, give generously when you visit Handmade in March!
