Bird’s the Word is a family owned Australian business based in Victoria, founded by Rod and Gill in 1998. Following Rod’s passing in 2025, their son Alex an experienced builder by trade has taken over the manufacturing side of the business, continuing the family tradition with care and craftsmanship.
Bird’s the Word creates a wide range of birdhouses, rusty garden art, sculptures, birdbaths, and garden accessories, perfect for your own garden or as a thoughtful gift. Many designs can be customised by mixing and matching different roofs and trays, and selected rusty steel pieces can also be personalised.
