Agmia was born in 2013 when designer Maria Espinosa blended the traditional technique of silver filigree from her hometown in Colombia with contemporary designs in Melbourne, Victoria. Each piece by Agmia is made by hand via a delicate process of twisting fine threads of silver called filigree. This intricate style requires the utmost dedication, patience, and time. As a result, all the pieces are unique, exclusive, and carry a meaningful connection between cultural heritage, artistic craftsmanship, and modern design, making every creation a wearable work of art.
