GOING THE EXTRA MILE

GOING THE EXTRA MILE

Today we’re getting to know one of our March stallholders, Scott Leggo.  Scott is a multi-award winning landscape photographer from Canberra.  With almost 15 years’ experience in Landscape Photography, Scott has honed his craft and won over 100 Australian and international awards.  A passionate outdoorsman with a spirit of adventure, Scott combines his skills as a landscape photographer to create unique photos of the Australian landscape.  He’s also a former Air Force Officer and Iraq veteran, and a proud supporter of veterans.

SO, WHAT DOES HE MAKE?

Scott offers premium quality prints and products featuring his photography.  His range includes framed prints, canvas prints, acrylic wall mounts, acrylic desk blocks and greeting cards.  Imagery featured in his photos has been captured across every state of Australia.  From snowy mountain tops to lush rainforests, Scott goes the extra mile (or thousands of miles!) to capture his scenes.

HOW DOES HE GET THOSE EPIC SHOTS?

So what goes into capturing these epic landscapes?  Hard work, determination, perseverance, and patience!  Take the story behind Scott’s popular ‘Kosciuszko Dawn’ photograph for instance…

Scott hiked and camped out in the snow in Kosciuszko National Park for days to capture this image.  Battling the elements, a tent buried in snow and unpredictable conditions, Scott was unsure if he’d get the photo he had in mind and thought he might leave empty handed.  But days of waiting and watching paid off – one morning, the conditions were just right, the dawn turned on it’s beautiful colours and Scott captured this beautiful scene:
