Julie is an artist based in Naarm (Melbourne) and started Misu Juju as a passion project in 2019, which allowed her the space to play and explore different mediums and crafts. It wasn’t long before she fell in love with printmaking and self-taught herself this slow and steady practice during the pandemic lockdowns. Taking inspiration from everyday life, Misu Juju is about capturing the slow moments and simple pleasures that keep us going day to day through cute and whimsical characters. Her creative practice has been greatly influenced by her love of Japanese culture and minimalistic lifestyle.
