Self-taught Canberra artist Frances McMahon has been obsessively painting Australia’s beautiful native birds in watercolour since age five.
Her astonishingly detailed paintings are masterfully and painstakingly created over several weeks.
In March 2025, Frances was granted membership and title of Art Renewal Centre Associate Living Master (ARCALM). This is an internationally recognised title, with only 14 other Australian artists represented.
