How Frank Ideas pivoted their business during uncertain times.
With a background in theatre and design that cultivated a passion for experimentation, colour, and texture, Frank Ideas specialise in unique jewellery designs that are sculptural, tactile, bold, and rebellious. With a vision to create jewellery that enables women to creatively celebrate their individuality, Frank Ideas utilise an unusual combination of materials. Rubber, resin, sterling silver and recycled elements all feature in their unique designs.
They believe that every woman deserves to be seen and heard, and she should be free to express herself in whatever way she chooses. No boxes, no limits, no judgment. This informs every decision and every design that Frank Ideas makes.
ADAPTING TO A NEW WORLD:
A Handmade regular for over seven years, Frank Ideas began as an Etsy store in 2008. While their pieces have always been handmade here in Australia, their online presence allowed them to break into other markets. Having formed close relationships with customers and other designers in the USA, they eventually opened a showroom in Atlanta, GA. This lead to being invited to show in New York City, with great success.
Until COVID-19 hit.
Now unable to travel to the US, Frank Ideas have had to pivot their business, and are now focussed on online sales and further expansion in the Australian and NZ market. Bringing their jewellery to the people back home is something Frank Ideas always wanted to do but struggled to find the time between 4-6 US trips a year.
Like many of us, COVID-19 has brought many ups and downs. While having to adapt quickly can be tough, Frank Ideas are excited to bring their work to local audiences.
