Jade and Lisa are, literally, yummy mummies. Despite the demands of young families, they are still hand making, home baking and intricately creating. Bringing their cookies to the Handmade Market for the first time on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September (10am-4pm), we are delighted to welcome Rosebery St Bakehouse. We asked Jade and Lisa our questions:
- What is your business all about?
Rosebery St Bakehouse is Jade and Lisa. We are two best friends, who, after 20 years of friendship, know far FAR too many of each other’s secrets. We have three insane go go bananas toddlers and crazy crazy lives. We dream of simple pleasures – eating our lunch without sharing, going to the bathroom without spectators, and grocery shopping on our own.
Rosebery St Bakehouse is our ultimate dream. It is our escape. It is our sanity. Rosebery St Bakehouse is our creative (quiet) island in a sea of noisy mummy chaos. It is for this very reason that Rosebery St Bakehouse is about feeling good and all things delicious. Rosebery St Bakehouse is about sharing what you love with who you love. With every treat we create we hope that our customers love our work as much as we love creating it. We hope that they share it with their friends, their best friends – the ones who know too much.
- What made you apply to Handmade?
The decision to attend the Handmade Market was a simple one. We are as committed to showcasing quality handmade unique delicious treats as Handmade Canberra is. Every cookie is individual. Every cookie is uniquely perfect – the mark of a truly handmade work of art. Every cookie is deliciousness redefined.
- Sum up your business in THREE words
And even though there are only two words, they completely sum up this gorgeous enterprise. Good luck at the market ladies!
