Updating your Handmade Canberra profile
It’s time to get yourself a piece of our pie!
We have made some BIG changes to our website. On the outside you can’t really tell, but it’s whats going on behind the scene is what makes it all tick. The short version is that we have upgraded the designer profile gallery to include a separate page for each of you. This will not cost you anything at all, it’s all now part of being a designer at either Shop Handmade or the Handmade Market.
The great news is your page will now include 3 photos & a photo cropping tool to help with this, 100 words all about you and your website etc. Also great news is you get to build your profile so it is just how you want it. This will be a super simple process we promise.
Between now and Feb 1st please upload your new profile. On Feb 1st this new profile will be switched on and visible on our website. Until then you will still only have one photo on the gallery. Any old photos that are not updated by 1 February will be removed. Please note, even if you want to use the same photo as one of your current 3 you must re-load it using the cropping tool.
Please note it is a requirement of being part of Handmade Canberra that this is done.
Step one – Read this awesome document – Profile Page Advice – that explains in full the how, why and when. We have included examples for you as well. Find or take 3 great product photos and think about your 100 words.
Step two – Login in on our website using your login and password that you created when applying. Click on the “My Account” button from there you will see the “edit my profile” button appear.
Step three – Write your 100 words. TIP do this in a word document, then use the spellcheck and the word count. Read our Profile Page advice for hints and tips on writing your 100 words.
Step four – Upload a picture, move the cropper over your pic until you love it and hit save. What is inside the cropper is what you will get. Do this two more times with different photos. Images are listed as image one, two and three. Creative I know.
Step five – After hitting save you can preview what your profile will look like after Feb 1. Only here, ie being logged in and in your profile, can you see this until Feb 1. Don’t panic that it’s not visible on the main website yet.
Step six – Log out and know you are amazing.
If you are having trouble please email the amazing Theresa and let her know what you are having trouble with. This should only take a few minutes but will make your profile page look amazing. Think of those 253,124 hits to out site and how many of them could be coming your way!
