Rosebery Street Party
Lisa and Jade from Rosebery Street Bakehouse had a great market at Handmade in September. Our gourmet food hall was the perfect pace to launch their beautiful cookies and they were very well received. When asked how things have been since then, Lisa replied: “Since Rosebery St Bakehouse debuted at the Handmade Markets in September things have exploded – in the most wonderful way! The exposure gained from attending the markets means we are now completely booked out through 2016 and taking bookings well into 2017. We have been so truly touched that people have responded so overwhelmingly to our edible creations. The people we have met, the feedback we have received, and the opportunities we have had since, have just been amazing.” This is exactly what we like to hear from our first-timers, and we love watching businesses grow as a result of their attendance at Handmade, along with their own enthusiasm and dedication.
Back at Handmade this weekend on 10 & 11 December, we can expect to see some new products from the girls. Lisa says: “We cannot wait to launch our Christmas range of cookies including a range of edible gingerbread decorations – traditionally hand piped cookies threaded with twine and ready to hang on the Christmas tree. We will also have Christmas gift boxes and Christmas UNICORNS! There’ll also be a little Christmas surprise install for our Canberra collection! For those that missed out on sets of Canberra cookies at the September markets, we will have plenty on hand in December – with both our standard set and a special Christmas in Canberra set available also. We can’t wait to see what everyone thinks!”
Lisa is enthusiastic about Handmade, in particular, the “outstanding commitment to quality, be it the products they source or the behind the scenes service their staff provide. The ability to align our business and our products with likeminded individuals is invaluable. Handmade has developed a great working environment, making stallholders feel like comrades rather than competition. Partnering with Handmade, and showcasing our products at each Handmade market, is for us now, a no brainer – oh and it helps that the entire Handmade Team are downright about the nicest bunch of ladies you could hope to meet! We can’t thank them enough for their support leading up to and during our first market.” Kind words, Lisa – thank you!
We asked Lisa to share a Christmas recipe with us and she chose something that is a Rosebery Street favourite – Christmas Bark.
