Publisher Textiles & Papers is run by Mark Cawood and Stephanie Isaac-Newton. They use traditional print methods to produce papers and textiles with intricate original patterns. Once printed, the designs are then made into wallpapers, home furnishings and clothing.
The team is passionate about Australian made, working hard to keep everything local and support other small businesses. Commission printing is offered for select established labels, helping to keep traditional screen printing alive in Sydney.
Publisher Textiles & Papers are regulars at Handmade and we are delighted to welcome them back to the market on 10 & 11 September, 10am – 4pm. We asked Stephanie our five questions:
We are ALL about screen printing. Mark has been doing it for over 20 years and is one of the best in the business. We are extremely proud of the fact that we are able to print, cut and sew all our clothing in the one building!2. What advice would you give to first time stallholders at Handmade?
Know your brand’s story, customers come to handmade for more than just your usual shopping, they want a story to go with their new purchase! Also, go to the drinks on Saturday afternoon! I really love getting to have a chat with other stall holders, its a great community to be a part of.
3. What’s the best thing about Handmade?
The community, Handmade has the most friendly and welcoming staff and the other stall holders are always a delight. The Saturday night drinks are a great way to get to know everyone and put names to faces I see on the market circuit.
4. What’s new for the next market?
We will have lots of new Women’s and Men’s clothing this September and then at the December market we will be finally able to bring our new homewares range!
5. Sum up your business in THREE words
