Mud and Sugar Creations, run by Handmade regular, Nisa Stone, is a company from the Blue Mountains that creates children’s clothing and costumes. Many visitors to Handmade find themselves leaving EPIC with a dinosaur tail or pair of dragon wings from Mud and Sugar, and will get the chance again in less than two weeks, 10 & 11 September, 10am-4pm. We asked Nisa our five questions:
Mud and Sugar is here to create a bit of magic and adventure, I hope to encourage children to play creatively, to imagine and dream. I cherish the memories of playing for hours with my siblings and friends, dressing up and creating whole other worlds. Costumes can help to bring children out of their shell.
Have fun! Get to know your market neighbours, have a look around if you get the chance and make the most of your time in Canberra, it’s a great town!
I love the attention to detail from the organisers, there really isn’t anything they leave out, their sense of humour keeps things interesting! I like how well the market is curated, seeing so many stalls where their products have an element of personal design shows that it truly is a handmade market.
I’ll have some new bird costumes, be your own fairytale characters, as well as new costume accessories.
