Lush Soy Candles
Lush Soy Candles and Diffusers will be bringing their unique and varied scents to Handmade again next weekend. Hailing locally from Goulburn, it’s a short trip down the Hume to Canberra and we asked Kate Roffey what we can expect from Lush.
Tell us about your business
We are a family business, we all play our part in designing and making our gorgeous products. All our products are hand made in our home in Goulburn NSW. We pride ourselves on the fact that we are a small, locally owned and family run business, we love getting out into the community, supporting charities and offering people reasonable priced quality products.
Lush Soy Candles & Diffusers produces a collection of luxury candles, reed diffusers and room sprays that are hand poured from the finest renewable ingredients. All candles feature cotton, lead free wicks giving a clean, long lasting and eco-friendly burn. Our reed diffusers and room sprays are made utilising natural bases.
The collection includes premium single wick candles, premium mini candles and a range of luxury reed diffusers and room sprays, making Lush products a perfect indulgence or gift idea.
What’s the best thing about Handmade?
We love being able to showcase our wonderful handmade products to so many people. The atmosphere of Handmade is amazing, all the friendly and talented stall holders and amazing products.
What’s good about Canberra?
We are from Goulburn, so we consider ourselves locals. We love the diversity of people that live in Canberra, the range of attractions and the amazing shopping that’s on offer.
How do you keep warm in Winter?
Goulburn in Winter is much the same as Canberra – freezing! To keep warm in Winter I love nothing more than lighting our fire, lighting a few candles, pouring myself a wine and snuggling up on my lounge with my kids under a blanket reading them books or watching a movie.
Can you describe your place of work?
All our candles are hand poured in our kitchen. All all our sprays and reeds are made in our garage (in Winter I look like an Eskimo with my many layers of clothing!)
