Handmade Canberra will have a large slice of gourmet heaven at EPIC in the form of food vans and stalls serving a range of food and drink that will keep you going until long after the final designer has packed up and gone home. Not only will we have cakes, ice cream and cooking essentials to take home, but we will also be looking after your stomach on site.
On arriving, we suggest your coffee comes from one of our two speciality coffee bars. Two Before Ten and Art of Espresso will be serving your caffeine hit in a quick and efficient manner to start you off. Take your coffee with you as you shop Handmade before it’s time for morning tea. Now you are really spoiled for choice, as Pure Melt Chocolate will be on hand for a delicious hot chocolate and Le Petit Breton, our French crêpe van, will be tempting you with a range of freshly made sweet and savoury crêpes.
Once you’ve walked that off, you’ll have earned your lunch. Wood fired pizza from Pizza 2U will cater for the Italian lovers among you, but if you’re tempted by flavoursome and tender meat, Smoking Brothers will be on had with succulent grills and roasts steeped in their own recipe sauces. Free range pulled pork is one of the specialities of the Burra Berkshire food van, or grab a handmade wurst at Berlin Bangers.
Now back to the shopping, but don’t worry – with not one but two halls of beautiful designer finds to search through, you won’t have a problem burning off that energy.
Still got room for afternoon tea? Really? Have a look at our speciality stalls for a cake or cookie to see you through till the end of the day.
You’ll be weighed down with gifts for you and yours by now, so OK, we’ll let you head home, but not before you’ve stopped for cheese and wine from Mount Majura Vineyard or a boutique beer from Bentspoke to round off your day.
And if you feel that you’ve missed anything, you can always come back and do it all over again on Sunday.
